Who We Are
GreenMouse, Inc. is a San Jose based company providing electronics collection and computer recycling services to businesses and homeowners throughout California. Our corporate headquarters are located in Silicon Valley, near San Jose Airport, which allows us to directly service Santa Clara County. Our free pick-up and drop-off services cover the surrounding areas of Santa Clara, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, and Palo Alto. However, we also provide collection and recycling services to other cities and counties within California.
For businesses and homeowners outside of California we offer computer recycler services through our Click and Ship service. We will dispose of your ewaste in accordance with California rules and regulations and follow the guidelines mandated by the Department of Toxic and Substances Control (DTSC). Our commitment is to collect and process unwanted and obsolete waste products of all types inside the United States. No electronic waste is sent overseas.
Further, our goal is to significantly reduce the amount of toxins generated by ewaste pollution and to recycle valuable resources, such as plastics, glass and other materials used in the manufacturing of electronic products. We also believe in the strength of community and work closely with schools and other non-profit organizations to help them raise funds through ewaste collection events.
GreenMouse started as an electronic waste recycling business committed to building communities by providing a friendly and convenient way for business and residential consumers to dispose of unwanted waste. Evelyn O'Donnell, a Silicon Valley veteran, founded the company after a 15-year career in high-tech marketing and sales. Evelyn's vision was to create a purpose-driven company that would provide sustainable employment and training to disadvantaged adults.
Word of her friendly, direct-to-your-door service quickly spread throughout the Bay Area and soon Evelyn was fielding requests for pick-ups from as far as Southern California. In 2008, eWaste Services changed its name to GreenMouse, a reflection of the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.
