GreenMouse, Inc. started in 2005 as a waste management business committed to providing a convenient and responsible way to dispose of unwanted waste. Evelyn O’Donnell, a Silicon Valley veteran, founded the company after an extensive career in high-tech marketing and sales. Evelyn’s vision was to create a purpose-driven company that would provide sustainable employment and training to under-skilled youth and adults.

In 2010, GreenMouse, Inc. partnered with the City of San Jose and its work2future employment program to provide training and employment opportunities for at-risk young adults through its Green Cadre program for which GreenMouse, Inc. received the Community Builder Award from the City of San Jose for its contributions and leadership. For several years, GreenMouse, Inc. has participated in Santa Clara County’s summer intern program “Intern & Earn,” designed to help under-skilled high school students develop meaningful work skills and earn money.

We have three business and social goals:

  • Provide responsible IT management services that contribute to a clean and healthy environment.
  • Create training programs and employment opportunities for under-skilled high school students and young adults.
  • Contribute to the economic and social strength of our communities through the creation of green jobs.

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley near San Jose Airport allows GreenMouse, Inc. to directly service Santa Clara County, as well as Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa Costa, and San Francisco Counties.  Our service reach includes several major Bay Area cities, including San Jose, Santa Clara, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Mt. View and Palo Alto, Fremont, and San Francisco.

Most e-waste collected by our company is processed at GreenMouse, Inc. for the purpose of creating local jobs. Other items, such as televisions and monitors are processed under the rules and regulations authorized by the California’s Electronic Waste Recycling Act SB 20, which establishes a funding system for the collection and recycling of certain electronic wastes. The program is intended to provide convenient opportunities for California consumers to properly manage unwanted electronics.
